49ers trade Barlow to Jets
Kevan Barlow, seen here coughing up the ball, was traded to the New York Jets for an undisclosed draft pick in 2007. Obviously this vaults Kevan Barlow up the charts, looking like a decent third RB. This really solidifies Gore as a 2nd/3rd RB. While his value jumps due to the fact that he’ll be appearing on drafters’ radars, I’m guessing anyone who didn’t realize Gore’s value before would still undervalue him simply because he’s a Niner. As long as you’re not afraid of taking Gore with a mid-round pick, you’ll secure him while maintaining good value.
